THE NAMES OF THESE COUPLES HAVE BEEN CHANGED TO RESPECT THEIR PRIVACY

MALLORY AND RICHARD

MALLORY KNEW THAT KEEPING A BUDGET OF AROUND $10,000.00 FOR 100 PEOPLE FOR THE WEDDING SHE ENVISIONED WAS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE IN THE ATLANTA MARKET. SHE AND HER FAMILY WORKED HARD TO REDUCE THE GUEST LIST, BUT THEY HAD GONE AS FAR AS THEY COULD WITHOUT CREATING PROBLEMS. RELUCTANT TO SACRIFICE THE DETAILS THAT WERE IMPORTANT TO HER, MALLORY CAME TO THE METROPOLITAN CLUB TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANY WAY TO SALVAGE HER DREAM WEDDING.

WHAT WE LEARNED WAS IMPORTANT TO MALLORY:

  • A COCKTAIL HOUR WITH ELEGANT HORS D’ OEUVRES FOR HER GUESTS TO ENJOY WHILE SHE AND HER WEDDING PARTY COMPLETED THEIR HOUR OF PHOTOS.
  • BEVERAGE SERVICE, INCLUDING AN ARRAY OF PREMIUM WINES, SPECIALTY COCKTAILS, AND A SELECTION OF IMPORTED AND DOMESTIC BEERS.
  • A FORMAL SEATED DINNER WITH HIGH QUALITY DINING, COMPLETE WITH FINE CHINA, CRYSTAL, FRESH LINENS, AND CANDLELIGHT.
  • A BEAUTIFUL, INCLUSIVELY DESIGNED SPACE, WHERE ALL OF HER GUESTS CAN COMFORTABLY GATHER TOGETHER.
  • A LARGE DANCE FLOOR WITH A TOP PROFESSIONAL DJ AND MC TO COMPLEMENT HER RECEPTION.
  • EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONAL STAFF TO WAIT ON HER EVERY NEED AND GUIDE THE FLOW OF THE EVENING.

LAST AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, MALLORY RELIED ON A HIGH LEVEL OF PERSONAL SERVICE THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PROCESS. SHE HAD EXCELLENT TASTE AND GOOD INSTINCTS, BUT SHE DID NOT HAVE THE TIME TO SHOP FOR ALL OF THE AUXILIARY SERVICES AND VENDORS SHE NEEDED.

TRADITIONALLY, “PREFERRED VENDORS” ARE REFERRED AT A PRICE. THIS IS A SOURCE OF ADDITIONAL INCOME TO THE PERSON REFERRING YOU TO THAT PARTICULAR VENDOR. THIS IS CLEARLY A CONFLICT OF INTEREST. MALLORY NEEDED SERVICES WITHOUT THIS COMPLICATION, AND SHE COULDN’T AFFORD A WEDDING CONSULTANT. THIS IS WHERE WE STEPPED IN AS MALLORY’S COMPLIMENTARY WEDDING COORDINATOR, OFFERING ADVICE BASED ON MALLORY’S PERSONAL PREFERENCES.

THIS PROJECTED BILLING GAVE MALLORY AN IDEA OF THE BUDGET FOR THIS WEDDING, IF SHE GOT ALL OF THE THINGS SHE WANTED. FROM THERE, WE HELPED HER MAKE SOME DECISIONS TO DRASTICALLY REDUCE THE COST WITHOUT AFFECTING THE OVERALL AFFAIR.

BY OPTING TO HAVE HER RECEPTION ON A FRIDAY OR SUNDAY, WHEN THERE IS LESS DEMAND, RATHER THAN A SATURDAY, HER COST FOR FOOD WENT DOWN BY 20%. NOW MALLORY IS LOOKING AT A DISCOUNT OF $20.00 PER PERSON JUST BY CHANGING THE DATE!

FOR AN ADDED SAVINGS OF $10.00 PER PERSON, MALLORY CHOSE STATIONARY HORS D’ OEUVRES WITHOUT AFFECTING HER GUESTS EXPERIENCE. SOUP SHOTS WERE PLACED INSTEAD OF BEING PASSED, BUT SHE DID NOT HAVE TO GIVE THEM UP. SHE ALSO ELECTED TO SERVE BEER AND WINE INSTEAD OF A STANDARD OPEN BAR, AGAIN REDUCING HER COST BY $10.00 PER PERSON.

IN ORDER TO FURTHER ACCOMMODATE MALLORY’S BUDGET, THE METROPOLITAN CLUB INCLUDED WEDDING CAKE SERVICE, LINENS, STANDARD CENTERPIECES, AND TABLE NUMBERS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.
